Shona Perkins
Shona is a Scottish Photographer and the founder of My Beautiful Scotland.
Specialising in Seascape and ICM photography, heavily influenced by contemporary art and abstract minimalism, Shona has spent the past few years developing her love for intentional camera movement (ICM).
It is through her passion for this technique that she met Stephanie and became a regular contributor for the globally recognised ICM Photography Magazine.
Whilst largely self-taught, Shona previously enrolled with the British Academy of Photography gaining a greater knowledge of the fundamentals and complexities of digital photography.
Technique is extremely important to Shona and whilst ICM demonstrates a certain freedom and creativity, Shona applies a considered, focussed and disciplined approach to her work ensuring the best results are achieved in camera.
Often described as creating a sense of calm through her imagery, Shona manages to capture solitude, tranquillity and haunting beauty in her work, all whilst maintaining her recognisable style.
Stephanie Johnson
Stephanie is a self-taught creative photographer, who is primarily focused on ICM photography. She has honed her techniques by getting out to do the work as often as possible.
She has a Bachelor of Arts degree and graduate work in English Literature. She has always had a very strong emotional connection to art, in all its various forms, as well as to the natural world. Stephanie has a deep passion for creating uniquely artistic images by working with camera movement to paint how any given scene feels for her in the moment.
Stephanie is the Founder, Creator, and Publisher of ICM Photography Magazine (ICMPhotoMag), a first-of-its-kind e-magazine dedicated solely to featuring ICM images, articles, reviews, interviews, tips, and tutorials, by ICM photographers and artists around the world, in a quarterly feature packed digital format.
Stephanie leads on-location ICM workshops in the United States, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and Mexico, and is an ICM/creative photography mentor and founder of the ICMPhotoMag Network continuous learning community.
